Breakfast is served every morning from 6.30am until 10am.
At The Highwayman Hotel we strive to provide the highest standards of care and attention to all our guests. If there is any area of your stay that does not meet your expectations, please contact a member of the team who will do their best to help.
There is ample open parking and drivers are asked not to obstruct access. We advise not to leave valuables in vehicles.
The historic house, garden, farmyard and playground can be reached by a 13 minute drive (5 miles). Entrance tickets for the House and Gardens (when open) can be purchased at the hotel reception.
Childcare within the hotel is the responsibility of the parents and guardians so we ask that you do not leave children unattended in your room or anywhere else in the hotel.
Check-out time is 11am on the day of departure. Should you require a late check out, please arrange this with reception in advance (subject to availability, a charge may be incurred). Alternatively, we will be happy to store your luggage for you.
We serve breakfast, lunch or dinner in our restaurant, with menus to suit all tastes. Outdoor dining is also available, and we can cater for parties of up to 30 guests. Dining times are –

All day dining – Noon to 9pm
The bar closes at 10pm (9pm Sundays)
Emergency services can be summoned by dialling 999. If you do call 999, please notify the manager immediately. Should you require a doctor or dentist treatment, please contact a member of staff who will be able to assist you.
Please read and observe the fire safety notice behind the bedroom door. In the event of a continuously sounding alarm, please vacate the premises by the nearest fire exit route. The evacuation assembly point is in the car park. If you experience hearing problems or you have any other disability that might affect your safety in exiting the building in the event of a fire, please let reception know as soon as possible.
On discovering a fire, please raise the alarm by using the nearest break glass point and exit the building calmly via your nearest fire exit route. Do not stop to collect belongings and do not re-enter the building until advised that it is safe to do so by the Fire Officer. Never attempt to tackle a fire yourself. During a fire evacuation the telephone switchboard may not be manned.
Hairdryers are located in your bedroom, usually located in the wardrobe or chest of drawers depending on the individual bedroom layout.
We offer all guests access to the health and fitness club at Chatsworth. There is a wide range of treatments, classes and great facilities, including a 15m swimming pool and fully equipped gym. Please ask reception for more details.
If there is no iron and board in your room, please ask at reception.
Reception is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Accounts may be settled by either card or cash payments.
The Peak District is famous for its beautiful landscapes and outdoor adventures, historic sites and villages, and fun family activities. Our team are always happy to make recommendations.

The Highwayman Hotel’s management makes every effort to maintain the safety of everyone on the premises, staff and guests alike, but if you see anything which you perceive as hazardous please advise a member of staff immediately.
All those little forgotten items, including sewing kits, travel dental kits and shaving kits, can be obtained from reception – please ask.
Smoking or vaping is not permitted anywhere in The Highwayman Hotel.

From crossing the stepping stones at Dovedale, to exploring the house, garden and playground at Chatsworth, you'll find plenty for all the family to enjoy. Don't miss the Christmas market at Chatsworth, a visit to the Old Bakewell Pudding Shop and a walk or ride on the Monsal Trail.
Also within easy reach are Matlock Farm Park, and the cable car at the Heights of Abraham, with its illuminated underground caves.
